Ingredients
- 1 12-ounce bag cranberries, fresh or frozen (3½ cups)
- 0.75 cup sugar
- 0.5 cup apple juice
- 0.25 cup bourbon
- kosher salt
Instructions
- 1Combine ingredients in a saucepan. Stir together cranberries, sugar, apple juice, bourbon, and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium high.
- 2Cook and cool the sauce. Reduce heat to medium and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries begin to burst and the sauce thickens, 18 to 20 minutes. Let cool to room temperature, about 20 minutes. (Sauce will thicken as it cools, especially if refrigerated overnight.)
