Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie
Our skillet cookie is an easy way to make a big, gooey, and sharable chocolate chip cookie. It's a simple recipe, all you need is one bowl and a skillet.
Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
- 0.333 cup packed dark-brown sugar
- 0.5 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
- 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
- 0.5 teaspoon coarse salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven and combine butter and sugars: Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, combine butter and sugar with a wooden spoon.
- 2Add egg and vanilla: Stir in egg and vanilla.
- 3Add dry ingredients: Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt.
- 4Add chocolate chips: Stir in chocolate chips.
- 5Transfer to skillet: Transfer cookie dough to a 10-inch cast-iron skillet; smooth top.
- 6Bake and serve: Bake until cookie is golden brown and just set in the center, 18 to 20 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes and serve warm.
