This quick quiche is a crustless version of the classic baked custard made with Swiss cheese, milk, and eggs for a no-fuss, stress-free breakfast.
Ingredients
- 8 slices bacon
- 4 ounces shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 4 large eggs, beaten
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup finely chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- 1Gather all ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie pan.
- 2Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes.
- 3Drain bacon slices on paper towels. Crumble and set aside.
- 4Cover bottom of prepared pie pan with shredded cheese and crumbled bacon.
- 5Whisk together milk, eggs, flour, onion, butter, and salt in a large bowl until smooth. Pour mixture over cheese and bacon in pie pan.
- 6Bake quiche in the center of the preheated oven until golden brown and firm in the center, about 35 minutes. Serve hot or cold.
